Gazi Pasha's arrival in Bornova was greeted with great enthusiasm and affection by the local population. Reşat Bey, serving as the District Governor of Bornova, was the brother of the renowned poet Yahya Kemal Beyatlı and was the most prominent figure to welcome Gazi Pasha on behalf of the people of Bornova.
At the welcoming ceremony held at 5:00 PM, Reşat Bey delivered a speech expressing the love and devotion of Bornova's people toward Gazi Pasha. The ceremony continued with tea service in a warm and cordial atmosphere.
