
Established within a massive 520 m2 nomadic tent structure at the Sabuncubeli locality below Karacam Village, the center exhibits thousands of objects related to Yoruk Turkmen culture. Operating under the Izmir Yoruk Turkmen Federation, the center is open for free visits every day of the week.
The Oba Yörük Türkmen Culture Centre was built in the form of a vast encampment of 520 square metres in the Sabuncubeli locality below Karaçam Village. Founded under the umbrella of the İzmir Yörük Türkmen Federation, the centre aims to keep Yörük Türkmen culture alive and to introduce it to visitors.
The centre exhibits thousands of objects relating to Yörük Türkmen life. Everyday tools, handicraft products, textile specimens and works reflecting traditional culture offer visitors the opportunity to experience cultural continuity.
Open to visitors every day of the week, free of charge.
