The Egridere Monumental Tree is an archaeological and historical site with an important place in Bornova's heritage of the earth.
In Egridere Village, nestled against the deep green of Homer's Valley to the east of Bornova, a natural monument defying time rises: the Egridere Monumental Tree. This massive tree, a Valonia Oak (Quercus ithaburensis), is approximately 400-500 years old and stands as a unique heritage bearing witness to Bornova's history, nature, and cultural fabric.
