Moskhatos, Muscat, Bornova Misket Grape is an archaeological and historical site with an important place in Bornova's heritage of the earth.
Bornova is one of the most special geographies of the Aegean, not only for its multi-layered history but also as the homeland of the Bornova Misket Grape. Carbonized grape seeds unearthed during excavations led by Prof. Dr. Zafer Derin at the Yesilova and Yassitepe mounds prove that grape cultivation in these lands dates back at least 5,000 years.
